The leaders of Notundhara Bangladesh NDB have demanded an extension of the registration period at the Election Commission. On April 15, the above demands were made while collecting forms at the Election Commission under the leadership of Notundhara Bangladesh NDB Chairman Momin Mehdi. While talking to the media, Momin Mehdi said, “We are seeing activities similar to the fugitive fascist era at the Election Commission. But that was not supposed to happen. The Bangladesh Election Commission was supposed to provide all kinds of facilities to the real political platforms dedicated to the people of the country and move forward with all sincerity. Their behavior today has hurt and disappointed us. Momin Mehdi also said that on March 10, they issued a circular saying that applications must be submitted by April 20. What kind of circular is this? How can an application be submitted with the signatures of about 25,000 voters of the central committee including 102 upazilas and 22 districts of Bangladesh in just 19 working days? The few who have done so believe in viral policies, not politics. In such a situation, I am demanding an extension of the registration application period to the Election Commission through you. Among others, Acting Secretary General Nipun Mistry, Joint Secretary General Monir Zaman, Organizing Secretary Wazed Rana, etc. were present. It is worth noting that, despite applying for registration twice in the last 13 years since its inception on December 30, 2012, Notundhara Bangladesh NDB has been denied registration due to the autocratic policies of the fascist government. Notundhara Chairman Momin Mehedi was a victim of disappearance in 2018. Thinking that he was dead, the then government forces left him in Segunbagicha 11 days after he was taken away. He recovered after 21 days of treatment.
